Call to Artists - 1st Atomic Art Gallery show hosted by sponsor 529 Clothesline Gallery and Boutique.

Atomic seeks talented artists for its first curated gallery show hosted by Atomic sponsor Clothesline Gallery and Boutique.  Works of art submitted for consideration will be selected by Austin Kowal, owner of Clothesline Gallery and Boutique, Van Jazmin, Co-Director of CGB and Atomic producer, Adrien Lucas.


The opening night reception will be held on Friday, December 7th from 5PM - 9PM at the Clothesline Gallery and Boutique, located in the Historic Burns Square at 529 S. Pineapple Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236.



Opening night will feature complimentary beverages provided by Atomic sponsor, the Shamrock Pub, who will host the after gallery Atomic party at Sarasota's best local brew pub, Shamrock Pub located at 2257 Ringling Boulevard.

One talented participant's work of art will be chosen as "Best in Show" and will receive a full refund for their Atomic indie craft space or if the artist is not participating in the 2012 Atomic indie shows, a monetary award of $250 will be awarded to the winner of "Best in Show."  Past Atomic alumni artists are invited to apply even if they are not working at the Atomic indie craft shows this December.

How to Apply / Submission Guidelines:

This show is open to present and past Atomic artists.  Please do not apply if you do not fall into these categories.

Dates for Show:  December 1, 2012 - December 21, 2012

Submissions are due: November 1, 2012.  Applicants are encouraged to apply early as space is limited in the gallery.

Please send up to five (5) submissions digitally (high resolution photos or scans) to the following:

Include the following:
~ Number of pieces
~ Title of each piece
~ Edition for each series (if applicable)
~ Medium and support of each piece
~ Dimensions of each piece (framed and unframed in inches)
~ Date of Work
~ Price of each piece to be hung on gallery wall

The show accepts paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, relief sculptures, textile and assemblage.  There is limited space for free standing sculpture.  Accepted work must be framed and ready to hang and must be for sale up to a maximum price of $600.00 USD.  Any editions that are a part of work must be priced.

Please ensure that photos of the works are included, as well as detailed notes or instruction of how work should be hung or presented.
